Today we're super excited to have a guest blog post by our friend Casey of Likely Crush
My little wanderlust babe may not have been born in the Golden State, but she certainly sparkles like she was...sparkles some days, storms the others. Typical threenager. Meet Gray, short for Grace. This crazy little girl may give me gray hairs, but she's also been my fountain of youth. Chipped away the corporate life I once had and now tows me along on her hunt for the next adventure. If a flight is not not the cards, nursery school is not on the morning agenda, then we're off to explore around Connecticut where we live. And no matter what the ideas may be, her preference is ALWAYS the beach, or any body of water for that matter.
Fact: our Gunn & Swain blankets
are our adventure companion. If we aren't getting cozy with them on chilly nights in the back yard, then we are most likely wrapped up in them at the beach, or getting up to some sort of mischief, aka adventure. So after grabbing lunch at our favorite little market in Rowayton, CT (where we used to live), we headed down to look around our old beach neighborhood. Cue the boats. You know kids; when they are full of bacon, half tired, and get something in their mind it can be a road to disaster.
Passing by the boat docs Gray decided she wanted to go out on a boat. Since we have no boat, nor had made any arrangements to do so, it wasn't on the cards. And then when we drove past the random boat someone left out of water that saved the day (praise hands). A little make believe can go a long way. That, and the bribe of a lollipop to get her off 'her' boat and into the car.
